It is no longer news that gun men invaded and murdered more than eleven worshippers in a Catholic church in Ozubulu community in Nnewi Anambra state within the early hours of the morning mass.
In the said church St. Philip’s Catholic Church, Amakwa Ozubulu worshippers met their untimely death that day where certain armed men allegedly dressed in army uniforms, stormed the church and began to shoot sporadically thereby killing more than eleven people.
Many have condemned the dastardly act and called for proper investigation, arrest, and prosecution of the culprits.
Many different stories trailed the incident thereafter with social media especially reporting that it was a precipitation of drug war between some indigenes who reside in South Africa and had a disagreement over a business deal.
It was also alleged that the issue was between Chief Aloy Ikegwuonu a.k.a Bishop (rumored to be a drug baron), and another Ozubulu man popularly known as Obrocho.
Eyewitnesses allege that gunmen had traced him to his house, but were told he had gone to the church where he was meant to hold a Thanksgiving service.
Some sources claimed a couple of lives had been lost already in South Africa between the strong men shifted their battle home.
