The anti corruption war of President Muhammadu Buhari is still raging despite the battle with the Nigerian Senate on it’s chairman, Mr. Magu.
Just yesterday evening, EFCC uncovered about N490 million naira hid in large sacks ina shopping complex in Lagos.
This was made known by Wilson Uwujaren, spokesman of the commission, who explained in a statement, saying the commission acted based on a tip-off from a whistleblower.
Wilson said the money which was loaded in ‘Ghana Must Go Bags’ was kept in a shop locked for almost two years.
“The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Lagos Office, in the evening of Friday, April 7, 2017 uncovered yet another large sum of suspected laundered money to the tune of N448,850,000 (Four hundred and forty-eight million, eight hundred and fifty thousand naira) in a shop at LEGICO Shopping Plaza, Ahmadu Bello Way, Victoria Island, Lagos,” the statement read.
