The former Sultan of Sokoto , Ibrahim Dasuki is dead.
He died at the National Hospital in Abuja on Monday 14th Nov. 2016. He is to be buried today according to the Islamic rites.
Recall he was the one dethroned by the former military junta, Sani Abacha during his reign in 1996.
He was the also the first Sultan from the Buhari line of the house of Dan Fodio and a close associate of Ahmadu Bello.
His son is Sambo Dasuki the man in detention over $2.1B arms deal popular trending as #Dasukigate.

The former Spokesperson of ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Dr. Reuben Abati has been granted bail by the EFCC. The agency granted Abati bail on 27th Oct. after been picked on Monday Oct. 24th for investigation over alleged involvement in the arms deal fraud.

The People Democratic Party PDP  stated that President Buhari thinks Sambo Dasuki former national security adviser during the past administration  intends to contest 2019 presidential election which is the reason he is persecuting him in the name of fighting corruption.

TheCable  said  PDP in a statement declared that  Dasuki, who is undergoing trial for alleged fraud, has vast political and security network, hence the president’s bid to stop his ‘suspected’ ambition.

In the evening of Sunday December 27th 2015, the Nigerian troops intercepted three different groups of Boko Haram insurgents at different locations in Maiduguri, Borno State .

The bombers had planned to bomb and attack various parts of maiduguri when the army laid ambush, intercepted and destroyed them. This was made known by  Col. Anka on the army website.

There are indications that the Buhari administration will reduce petrol pump price  from N87 to N85 naira in January 2016.

100 killed by fire in Nnewi- Anambra State

An unfortunate incident has  occurred in Onitsha Anambra where about 100 people have been reportedly burnt to death today by fire explosion.

The tragedy was said to have occurred at the industrial town of Nnewi Anambra state due to the explosion of an industrial Gas Plant which killed about 100 people.
