Judge suspends sentencing as fuel subsidy convict ‘faints’ in court


A little drama ensued in the Lagos High Court Friday morning when a convicted fuel subsidy racketeer, Ms Adaoha Ugo-Nnadi, fainted just as the judge was about handing her sentence her to jail sentence.

The presiding judge this morning convicted Walter Wagbatsoma, Ms Adaoha Ugo-Nnadi, and their company Ontario Oil and Gas on an eight-count amended charge of N1.9 billion oil fraud.

The Lagos state police command apprehended a man, Benjamin, who terrorises residents of Agege while wearing the Nigerian Army uniform and hiding under the cover of the force.

Benjamin was arrested following complaints made by residents of Agege, Lagos. Police responded to the complaint to discover that Benjamin not only wears the army uniform to extort from citizens but he also engages in an illegal motorcycle trade in which he steals motorcycles and resells them.

Nnamdi Kanu Likely to Be Released on February 10

Kanu Nnamdi Denied Bail By The Court


Nnamdi Kanu the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB)  has again been denied bail by the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja today Friday.

As reported by The Cable, the judge, Justice John Tsoho ruled that Nnamdi Kanu was a threat to national security, hence  would not be granted bail.
