The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Nigeria appears to be waking up from its shock due to failure to win the last Presidential election in 2015.
They sounded reinvigorated through its caucus that met to discuss the way forward with 2019 general election in view.
The Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Peter Fayose is confident that the People Democratic Party, PDP will retain the governorship seat in the coming Ekiti 2018 election.
Speaking in Ado Ekiti on the failure of the party to win Edo and Ondo governorship election, Governor Fayose said what happened cannot happen under his watch in Ekiti state.
“Ekiti is a perculiar case in Nigeria, I am a man on ground , whether you deny, whether you agree with me, there will be an opportunity to do election there.
“I want to assure Nigerians, we will repeat that feat God helping me, they will have nothing in any local government. They will not win any local government.
Fayose said if opposition likes they can bring the whole money in Treasury Single Account, TSA to Ekiti to rig the election, they cannot win a single local government in the state.
“Let them bring they whole treasury, this TSA , the whole money in TSA, they will not win any local government. I am one to the people. Democracy is about the people and let me tell you, Governor Mimiko may have his challenges, but it does not mean they voted right.
In the ruling , the court held that Emmanuel won the total lawful votes cast, setting aside the earlier verdicts of the two lower courts.
The court as well upheld the Governor Udom’s earlier Appeal challenging the cancellation of results in 13 LGAs of Akwa Ibom State.
Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State has warned that life belongs only to God as nobody remains on a seat forever.
