The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) winner of the rerun election for Etche/Omuma Federal Constituency in Rivers state.

The INEC report said: “As part of preparations for the elections, the entire 23 Electoral Officers (EOs) in the state were replaced with new ones from Plateau, Anambra and Oyo states. They all reported in Rivers State on November 28, 2016 and were posted accordingly to the local government areas.

The Rivers state government has slammed the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC), shortly after the party’s governorship candidate in 2015 general election, Dr. Dakuku Peterside accused Governor Nyesom Wike of ridiculing the office of the governor through his actions.

Wait, the last time i checked, Rivers rerun was an electoral rerun in the state and not a  war incident.
The rapid blazing guns in this video will definitely make you think the security agents were trying to repel an attack from Boko Haram insurgents.
But hey, it was just a rerun election in River State. Can you imagine?
Politicians psych electorates against each other using words like” If they shoot you, shoot them, if they stab you, stab them.”.

The the Rivers Rerun  race is tough mostly between People Democratic Party PDP, and All Progressive Congress, APC therefore, rerun results may shock many as they start coming.
So far, as at press time, the People Democratic Party happen to be more favoured in the rerun result as it  had won all results announced by the INEC.
PDP was declared winner of house of reps seat Ogu/Bolo Federal Constituency in the wee hours of Sunday
Its candidate, Togo Tamuno, was declared the winner by the INEC Returning Officer, Sunday Ikechukwu, at 2:25am.
Tamuno scored 11,668 votes to defeat the candidate of the APC, Maureen Tamuno, who polled 5,995 votes.
